Free Program for Psychosocial Support

offered by FairLife L.C.C.

The program is aimed at patients, families and caregivers and is delivered in collaboration with experienced and qualified health professionals.

Individual and family sessions of the program can be conducted in five languages: Greek, English, French, Italian and German.

 

“FairLife – Lung Cancer Care and Prevention”, true to its mission to support patients through the complex lung cancer journey, from diagnosis to treatment, implements BREATH, a pilot program for Psychosocial Support.

BREATH program is offered free of charge to patients, families and caregivers, in collaboration with experienced and qualified mental health professionals.

Psychological support and counseling services are provided to patients and caregivers, in collaboration with the Analytical Group & Family Therapy Company. The cost is covered by FairLife, as part of the program.

Patients and caregivers share their experiences in a safe environment in support groups. They discuss their difficulties in relation to their spouse or other family members in group consultation sessions for families or couples. They process their thoughts under the guidance of experienced therapists.

Individual and family sessions can be conducted in five languages: Greek, English, French, Italian and German.

The services are kindly supported by:

ΤΙΜΑ Charitable Foundation, Lung Ambition Alliance – AstraZeneca, Roche – foramelefko, Non-Profit Civil Company AEGEAS, Takeda, AMGEN, Novartis and Pharmaserve- Lilly.

As part of the BREATH Program:

  • Merimna organization provides specialized support to children, teenagers and parents before and/or after the loss of a loved one.
  • The Guidance Center for Cancer Patients (K3) provides immediate & timely information on patients’ rights and individualized support in bureaucratic processes.
  • Just Pilates Studio offers patients and caregivers pilates sessions to improve stamina, respiratory functions and psychology
  • The Palliative Care Center “Galilaia” provides holistic support and palliative care in all stages of the disease and therapy cycles, assisting Fairlife in informing patients and caregivers.

FAIRLIFE – LUNG CANCER CARE

FairLife Lung Cancer Care, the first non-profit organization in Greece, exclusively dedicated to lung cancer, was created in memory of Simon Bell, who lost the battle with lung cancer, at age 57, in August 2020.

FAIRLIFE L.C.C.’s mission is to support patients throughout their difficult lung cancer journey, from diagnosis to treatment as well as to raise public awareness towards prevention and screening, so as to reduce mortality rates and ensure equal access to diagnostic methods, clinical trials and innovative treatments for every patient.
