By participating in the competition and presenting their original ideas, students become active citizens and offer vigorous support to the small group of teenage advocates, who implemented the campaigns. Together we can become a huge force that will not be misled by tobacco and e-cigarettes,that will not be trapped in addiction. The competition is a call to become the first generation to eliminate smoking, the first generation free of tobacco and its products, free of cigarettes, free of e-cigarettes.

Students can visit our website https://fairlifelcc.com/  to find information material as well as the aforementioned youth campaigns, so as to be inspired about their projects. Within just one year of operation, the non-profit social organization, dedicated to lung cancer, “FairLife L.C.C.-Prevention and Lung Cancer Care- In memory of Simon Bell has undertaken actions to inform and raise public awareness about the prevention and early diagnosis of lung cancer, especially focusing on young people. On the occasion of the “World No Tobacco Day” on 31.05.2021, FairLife implemented the first youth anti-smoking campaign, entitled “14 minutes of life”, an initiative launched by our young volunteers, inviting young people to talk openly about smoking and vaping.

Starting with FairLife L.C.C.’s message “Let Life take your breath away, not lung cancer” and in the context of celebrating the “Global Day of Climate Action” and the “World Lung Day” on 25.09.2021, the second campaign of our young volunteers and friends, entitled “A world without cigarettes through the eyes of children” has been presented in the city of Patras. The aim was to raise awareness among children and their families about the effect of smoking on the environment, our common lung, but also on our respiratory system and overall health.

«Children bring a simple and clear perspective to life and future through their paintings. We can see the world with their eyes.», notes Mrs. Korina Pateli – Bell, President of FairLife L.C.C. «The initiative, taken by our youngest Brand Ambassador, Orestis Fotis Mikelakis, is the starting point for a series of activities and collaborations with schools, related to the subject and based on the message we try to promote.»

In this context, FairLife L.C.C. organizes the first national student competition, entitled “The first tobacco/vape – free generation”. It is noted that no income will be generated for the organization, announcing the competition or for anybody else from the submitted works of the students or from the winning projects only. The announcement is posted on the FairLife L.C.C. website and in all relevant Directorates of Secondary Education in the country.
