FairLife L.C.C. was awarded by the Hellenic Thoracic Society

For its substantial contribution to public awareness, regarding prevention and early diagnosis of lung cancer

On Sunday, December 10, at the 31st Panhellenic Pulmonology Conference, FairLife L.C.C. was awarded by the Hellenic Thoracic Society for its valuable and substantial contribution to public awareness, regarding prevention and early diagnosis of lung cancer.

The award was presented to Mrs. Korina Pateli-Bell, President of FairLife L.C.C. by Mr. Eleutherios Zervas, General Secretary of the Hellenic Thoracic Society and Mr. Stelios Loukidis, President of the Hellenic Thoracic Society commented: “It is important for the Hellenic Thoracic Society to support initiatives such as Fairlife’s, which emphasize the need for the implementation of lung cancer screening in our country. Initially, as a pilot program in the Public Health System, in coordinated framework, through interdisciplinary cooperation, and ensuring a continuity for participants. We warmly welcome and support such actions and will continue to collaborate with Fairlife to achieve these essential objectives.”

At the award ceremony, Korina Pateli-Bell, President of FairLife L.C.C., stated: “I would like to thank the HTS for the invitation and for the honorary award to FairLife. Each award is a moral reward for our organization, but the present one is special indeed, coming from within the scientific community and in fact from experts, specialized in  lung health.  FairLife’s earliest videos focused on screening awareness, which is, after all, one of our main objectives. But truth is, we cannot achieve much without cooperation. We need to walk in the same direction with scientists, the State, patients and all the stakeholders, while acknowledging the main role of the pulmonologist in the fight against lung cancer, but also the needs of patients, who are, after all, the final beneficiaries of this enormous effort. At FairLife, we are optimistic that we will soon be able to see many advances in this direction.”
