FairLife L.C.C. was granted one bronze and two gold awards at this year’s Patient Partnerships Awards 2022 event

FairLife L.C.C. was granted two distinct honours (one bronze and two golds awards) at this year’s Patient Partnerships Awards event, the foundation that honours the leading practices in the world of Health, that aim to improve a patient’s quality of life, offer support programs throughout the entirety of their therapeutic journey, as well as aid with prevention and education.

  •  “Learn-Act-Hope”, Digital Informative Library, for this initiative FairLife L.C.C. was awarded the Gold Award in the Area of Cancer, on account of promoting it’s holistic and patient-centric philosophy for better quality care, covering a patient’s diagnosis for lung cancer and their entire therapeutic journey. It informs the general population and raises awareness about the importance of preventative care and accurate diagnosis while also focusing on the cause and symptoms of the illness. Additionally, the free access to the digital informative library provides everyone with the opportunity to access accurate information from celebrated scientists. The videos answer questions raised in the FairLife’s Line of Information 11157, that was implemented with the support of the Lung Ambition Alliance. The implementation of the digital library “Learn Act Hope” has 24 informative videos and is constantly updated with the help of over 90 health professionals, 8 pharmaceutical companies and last but not least the imperative support of the Lung Cancer Foundation of America.

With the help of the Lung Ambition Alliance and AstraZeneca, an animated video with Luca as a central character, a patient with lung cancer, was created to raise awareness. The characters story was inspired by Simon Bell and follows his story from the begin starting from his diagnosis all through his therapy while also focusing on his mental health journey as he is fighting his illness. Luca’s story represents those of hundreds of people with lung cancer, informing them and raising them up.

  • FairLife L.C.C. was bestowed with a Gold Award for their “Antismoking campaign” called “The first generation without smoke, without vaping” for their ground-breaking methods of promoting their messages efficiently. Their informative campaign included various activities that gave voice to the youth to guide society, directing fruitful and mature dialogue for the quitting of smoking and the adoption of a healthy was of living: “14 minutes of life”, the first online antismoking campaign by youth for youth created in honour of the World No-Tobacco Day. It involved 11 students from 9 different schools giving voice to their feelings for their fellow classmates.

During the pandemic, the students became sensitized and through their social media wrote what they could do in the 14 minutes a smoker loses with each cigarette. This idea from the Brand Ambassador Oresti Mikelaki was implemented by himself and FairLife L.C.C.”s volunteers. Meanwhile under the frame of the campaign a plan of action was created with the aim the sensitize and give students the power to take action and allowed the IB Geitonas students to take part in Race for the Cure and the Leap for Life,  the St. Catherines British School students to implement the White Ribbon Project, the students from the 2nd Middle School of Neapoli Thessaloniki to implement the “Antismoking and Sports” program and the participation of the students from Trikala in the “Asklipio Act” project. The campaign was completed in 2022 with the 1st Panhellenic Competition of Creative Writing with the participation of 140 schools of primary and secondary education and all of Greece and abroad.

  • Improving Patients” & Vulnerable Populations” Life” for the “Sensitization of preventative care”

FairLife L.C.C. received a bronze award in the area of preventative care as it prioritizes raising awareness on the importance of preventative care for lung cancer. Metropolitan’s Preventative Screening “Lung Health” program provides free scans to people who are of a high risk. Also, with the implementation of the digital library “Learn, Act, Hope” the line of communication and help FAIRLINE11157 and the informative campaign “GetChecked” in collaboration with the European body LuCE highlighted the necessity of preventative screening. Additionally, in collaboration with scientific bodies and organizations they are promoting the request for the inclusion of screenings in the “Doxiadis” Program. Under the same umbrella the implementation of the hybrid seminar “Lung Cancer – Prevention and Accurate Diagnosis: Program of Preventative Care for Lung Cancer in Greece, are we ready?” is being introduced.

We dedicate them to all the patients suffering from lung cancer with the promise that we will continue to support them with the same passion and dedication.
