On Sunday, November 12, 2023, FairLife L.C.C. takes part in the 40th Authentic Marathon of Athens, running the 5 km route.Christos Apostolakos is a dear friend and an inspiration for FairLife L.C.C.

His 3rd participation in the Athens Marathon is a proof of determination and courage against the challenge of lung cancer.

Former participations:

Christos’ personal story teaches optimism, resilience and courage. He calls us to run with our souls, beyond any disease.

“This Sunday, November 12, I will take part, defying my advanced lung cancer, in the Marathon, in the five-kilometer course, for the third consecutive time. I will be joined by cancer patients, relatives, caregivers and many members of FairLife L.C.C. No disease can bring us down if we don’t allow it to. When our legs get tired, we run with our soul! The FairLife L.C.C. marathon team includes patients, caregivers, family members and ambassadors Ioannis Fountoulis, Kiki Tsakaldimi and Zisis Soulios.

Korina Pateli-Bell, President of FairLife L.C.C. stated: “The Marathon is a major race and a celebration of Life.  Exhausting but so rewarding, when crossing the finish line. Lung cancer is a major race as well. At FairLife L.C.C. we want to change lung cancer perception and send the message:  there is no time when it comes to lung cancer! Our assets are exercise, healthy lifestyle, mental health and optimism. Christos Apostolakos is a valuable friend of FairLife and a true fighter. FairLife L.C.C.’s mission is to holistically support people impacted by lung cancer, aiming to improve their quality of life throughout their journey from diagnosis to treatment.

FairLife – Lung Cancer Care was founded in memory of Simon Bell, 57, who lost the battle with lung cancer in August 2020.
