Korina Pateli Bell took part in the “Clinical Trials” online event, which was organized by the Association of Cancer Patients of Athens K.E.F.I. on 16 February 2021. Korina talks about the crucial issue of cancer patients’ access to clinical trials, sharing the experience of her husband’s, Simon Bell, fight with lung cancer and the efforts that had been taken to receive an experimental drug as part of a clinical trial.
Α special reference is being made to EPROPA, the European Program for Routine testing of Patients with Advanced lung cancer, as well as the main partners of a clinical trial, which is the National Healthcare System, pharmaceutical companies and doctors.
