SNFCC 1st Open Agora: FairLife L.C.C. takes part in a two-day bazaar dedicated to “Health, Mental Health and Disability”.

The bazaar was dedicated to NGOs and associations which turn our world into a better place!

On December 2nd and 3rd, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) hosted a two-day open bazaar for non-profit, independent, voluntary and activist organizations at the Lighthouse of the SNFCC, which became a place for interaction, accessibility and creation.

The 1st Open Agora at the SNFCC was dedicated to “Health, Mental Health and Disability” and held in December on the occasion of World Disability Day (3/12).

Represented by volunteers and friends, FairLife Lung Cancer Care’s team informed the public about lung cancer, joined friends and associates, learned about great initiatives and bonded over a weekend dedicated to Health, Mental Health and Disability.

The “Agora” concept has a double purpose: it is a public space to meet and interact with various social activist groups, as well as an open market, where they can sell their products in support of their cause.

The “Open Agora” initiative aims to raise awareness among the SNFCC’s public on issues that concern us all. It also supports the participating groups, offering them a chance to promote their activities.

The “Open Agora” will take place at regular intervals in the SNFCC premises, and will be dedicated to various themes, giving the opportunity to citizen groups and institutions to share their values and mission!

We sincerely thank the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre (SNFCC) for the invitation and hosting.

FairLife L.C.C.’s mission is to holistically support people impacted by lung cancer, aiming to improve their quality of life throughout their journey from diagnosis to treatment.

FairLife L.C.C. works:

– to raise public awareness about prevention and early diagnosis, so as to reduce mortality rates
– for the right to be informed about lung cancer
– to promote equal access to diagnostic methods, clinical trials and innovative treatments
– to indicate the need for psychological support for patients, their families and caregivers
– to eliminate lung cancer stigma related to smoking.

FairLife – Lung Cancer Care was founded in memory of Simon Bell, 57, who lost the battle with lung cancer in August 2020.
