Μaster 2 Paris VII

He was born in Athens and have dual nationality, Greek and French.

He has done composite study’s in medicine and psychology in France and Italy with a final degree in clinical psychology. Afterwards he worked volunteer at the oncology hospital “Agioi Anargyroi”, coordinating groups of cancer patients and individual psychotherapeutic sessions. He has also completed a postgraduate program at the Paris VII University, where he specialized in psychoanalysis and psychosomatics.

He has worked at Esquirol psychiatric hospital (Charenton’s former asylum) where he coordinated Balint’s groups for the staff.

He is a volunteer member of the international medical humanitarian organization “Médecins du Monde”. He contributed to the creation of the care facility in Athens, to the drug addicts’ program, to the Roma integration program, to the medical mobile unit and was the representative of Greece in the European network of access to the health care system “Averroes” and the “RomEurope” Roma study network. He was a member of Board of Directors of MdM and Secretary General.

He was also been a scientific associate of the University of Athens making a research about the contribution of the family therapy to the integration of migrants and refugees.  He worked at the “Medical Sexological Institute”.

He is member of the study group “I Lezine” , the “International Society of Neuro-Psychoanalysis” and the “Hellenic Association of Analytical Group and Family Psychotherapy” where he specialized in group analysis, family therapy and couples treatment. He also teaches at the association and he is member of the Board of Directors and responsible of the “Trauma Unit”.

He was a member of the Board of Directors of the “Medical Psychosomatic Society.”

He was taught for a long time the courses of psychoanalysis, psychopathology, psychosomatics and sexology in private schools of Psychology. He is actively involved in writing articles and making speeches at scientific conferences focusing on psycho-oncology kai the theme of social exclusion, aw well as others such “the Riace statues”. He also participated in writing the book “Psychological approach to cancer patients” on “Group psychotherapy with cancer patients”.

He is also the writer of the book “Απεταξάμην», on the relation between somatization and cancer disease.
