I have studied at the Athens University of Agriculture and completed my M.Sc. thesis on the medicinal plants in Mount Athos, a subject that brought me in contact for the first time with the ancient Greek medical manuscripts and the traditional herbal therapy. For a better understanding of the Greek herbalist tradition, I have studied Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Akadimia of Ancient Greek and Traditional Chinese Medicine, affiliated with the Tianjin University of TCM. During the last decade I teach classes on these subjects in Akadimia, and participate in research on the interaction between Chinese and Greek Medicine, as well as other medical traditions (e.g. Ayurveda, Korean, Tibetan and Persian Medicine).
