Mr Rigatos Theofanis was born in 1957. He is married and has two children. He has studied medicine at the University of Genoa in Italy. In 1992 he attended courses at the pediatric- otolaryngologist department of Cuarto University and in 1993 in the otolaryngologist Department of the University of Genoa.
He speaks Italian and English.
He has attended conferences both in Greece and abroad. He participated as a member of the Organizing Committee and Board of the 13th National Conference of Oto – Rino – Laryngology (ORL) and as a member of the Scientific Committee of the 14th National Conference of ORL, organized by the National Company of Oto- Rino- Laryngology Head and Neck Surgery of which he has been a member since 2004. He has also participated as chairman at the presentation of free announcements at the 3rd Conference “Developments in ENT”, organized by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
In 2010 he became director of the Department of Healthcare Services of ETAA. In 2013 he became director of the Department of Evaluation and Quality Assurance of EOPYY and director of the Vice President’s office.
On October 2014 he became director of the Department of Strategic Planning of EOPYY and recently (October 2022) he took over the Independent Directorate of Contracts & Providers Control.
