Ewelina Szmytke
Vice President Lung Cancer Care (LUCE)

SUMMARY

In my activities I try to coordinate the voluntary work I do with what I do for living. Helping others is a big part of my life. That is why I decided to start a PhD in environmental engineering, having in mind health safety of firefighters having in mind their personal protection equipment. In advocacy, apart from lobbying for lung cancer patients both on national and on the EU level, I tried to raise awareness among firefighters about the health risks they are exposed to and potential means of protection they may use.

Whatever I do, I try to do it the best I can. Only working with passion has true value in my point of view.
