Dr. Evi Hatziandreou is a Health Care/Life Sciences, Research & Innovation Consultant. A graduate of Athens Medical School holds a joint Doctoral Degree in Health Policy and Management & Epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health. She has served as a visiting Lecturer at the Department of Health Policy and Management, Harvard School of Public Health, and as Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Currently, she is teaching as Adjunct Professor at the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, Indiana University in Bloomington.

Dr. Hatziandreou is a Scientific Advisor at Big Pi Ventures, (http://bigpi.vc) a newly EIF-EQUIFUND Venture Capital, for funding Greek Start Ups focusing among others in the Bio-digital and the Life Sciences areas.  She is also serving as the Scientific Advisor at DIKTIO, Network for Reform in Greece & Europe, a Greek Think Tank (http://todiktio.eu), dealing with European issues and studies.

She has worked in the United States, England, Sweden and Greece, in both public and private sectors and non-profit organizations. Her professional experience includes stints at the US Department of Health and Human Services, (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and the U.S. Congress, (Office of Technology Assessment), tenure in leadership positions at multinational and Greek companies (ASTRAZENECA, INTERAMERICAN Insurance Co, member of ACHMEA), Greek Social Health Insurance Organization, RAND Europe, and as Senior Advisor to the Greek Minister of Education for Research, Technology and Innovation issues.

From 2009 to 2012 served as Senior Advisor to the Minister of Education with the portfolio of Research, Technology and Innovation; Minister of Development and later to the Minister of Economy for health policy and social issues. Her publications in international journals include studies for the prevention, management and economic evaluation of programs and health services.
