The new website from FairLife L.C.C. brings lung cancer screening to the fore!

FairLife Lung Cancer Care and Prevention presents a new web page on its website , Screening: Lung Cancer Prevention and Early Detection , dedicated to lung cancer screening and early detection.

Raising awareness for the prevention of the disease and the inclusion of screening for lung cancer in the “Spyros Doxiadis” National Prevention Plan were and remain the main pillars of FairLife LCC’s actions within the 3 years since its establishment.

By knowing the warning signs of the disease, we can make earlier tests, treat the condition in time and gain in human lives.

The new page includes detailed information about the symptoms and risk factors of the disease , as well as ways to reduce this risk . It explains in a simple way the function of the lungs , the development and progression of cancer and the individual characteristics of lung nodules.

It discusses the process surrounding low dose radiation computed tomography (LDCT), referring to the advantages and disadvantages of the test, the inclusion criteria as well as the follow-up after the test.

It addresses the latest developments in screening and the importance of early diagnosis that paves the way for personalized treatment options and optimal treatment outcomes,

The short 3-question quiz included on the new page answers the question of whether we qualify for screening.
